Die ZHAW hat eine Befragung unter Schweizer Unternehmen durchgeführt. Die [Ergebnisse](https://www.zhaw.ch/de/medien/medienmitteilungen/detailansicht-medienmitteilung/news-single/beim-datenschutz-haben-schweizer-unternehmen-aufholbedarf/) zeigen, dass für den Datenschutz kaum Ressourcen zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Vielen Unternehmen fehlt es an Datenschutzbeauftragen und es gibt kaum formalisierte Abläufe und Schulungen zum Thema.

Die meisten Unternehmen kennen sich zumindest teilweise im aktuellen Schweizer Datenschutzgesetz aus. Die neue EU-Datenschutzverordnung (DSGVO) ist indessen deutlich weniger bekannt, da viele Unternehmen davon ausgehen, künftig nicht von der DSGVO betroffen zu sein. Diese Annahme steht im Gegensatz zur Einschätzung von Juristen und anderen Experten, die davon ausgehen dass die DSGVO das Gros der Schweizer Unternehmen betreffen wird.

Die Umfrage ergab zudem, dass viele Unternehmen Schwierigkeiten haben, die Rechtmässigkeit des eigenen Umgangs mit Datenschutz zu beurteilen. Die ZHAW-Studie zeigt, dass sich die Unternehmen hier unterstützende Branchenstandards und mehr Klarheit in Bezug auf die Relevanz und Umsetzung der DSGVO wünschen.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
