economiesuisse begrüsst, dass der Bundesrat heute den Entwurf des Mandats für Verhandlungen mit der Europäischen Union (EU) verabschiedet hat. Die Wirtschaft unterstützt den Bundesrat in seinem Bestreben, den bilateralen Weg zu sichern und weiterzuentwickeln. Für den Wirtschaftsstandort Schweiz sind geregelte Beziehungen und Rechtssicherheit im Verhältnis mit der EU von essenzieller Bedeutung. Die Bilateralen III sind deshalb der richtige Weg. Nun gilt es, weiter voranzugehen und nach der Konsultation der Aussenpolitischen Kommissionen und der Kantone die Verhandlungen mit der EU aufzunehmen.

An sei­ner heu­ti­gen Sit­zung hat der Bun­des­rat den Ent­wurf des Ver­hand­lungs­man­dats für die Bi­la­te­ra­len III ver­ab­schie­det. Das Ver­hand­lungs­pa­ket der Bi­la­te­ra­len III um­fasst unter an­de­rem die Ak­tua­li­sie­rung der fünf be­ste­hen­den und den Ab­schluss von zwei neuen Bin­nen­markt­ab­kom­men mit der EU sowie Ko­ope­ra­tio­nen bei der For­schung, Bil­dung und Ge­sund­heit.

«eco­no­mie­su­is­se be­grüsst die Ver­ab­schie­dung des Man­dats­ent­wurfs und un­ter­stützt die bal­di­ge Auf­nah­me von Ver­hand­lun­gen mit der EU», sagt Chris­toph Mäder, Prä­si­dent von eco­no­mie­su­is­se, und er­gänzt: «Aus Sicht von eco­no­mie­su­is­se kön­nen die Ziele der Schwei­zer Wirt­schaft mit dem Paket Bi­la­te­ra­le III er­reicht wer­den. Dazu zäh­len ins­be­son­de­re die lang­fris­ti­ge Si­che­rung der Teil­nah­me der Schweiz am EU-Bin­nen­markt, die Stär­kung der Ver­sor­gungs­si­cher­heit durch den Ab­schluss eines Strom­ab­kom­mens sowie die Teil­nah­me am eu­ro­päi­schen For­schungs­pro­gramm Ho­ri­zon Eu­ro­pe.»

In einem nächs­ten Schritt wird der Man­dats­ent­wurf zur Kon­sul­ta­ti­on an die Aus­sen­po­li­ti­schen Kom­mis­sio­nen der eid­ge­nös­si­schen Räte (APK) und die Kon­fe­renz der Kan­tons­re­gie­run­gen (KdK) über­wie­sen. Da­nach soll­te im Hin­blick auf die Eu­ro­pa­wah­len im Som­mer 2024 mög­lichst rasch mit den Ver­hand­lun­gen be­gon­nen wer­den, um un­nö­ti­ge Ver­zö­ge­run­gen zu ver­mei­den.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
