Ohne stabiles Finanzsystem keine Schweizer Wirtschaft. Statt Verantwortung zu übernehmen und Ruhe zu schaffen – für das Land, die Bürgerinnen und Bürger und die Wirtschaft – hat der Nationalrat heute Nachmittag die Unsicherheit für den Standort Schweiz erhöht. SVP und SP gefährden mit ihrer Kompromisslosigkeit die Konkordanz und damit das Erfolgsmodell Schweiz.

Die Wirtschaft bedauert das heutige Nein des Nationalrats zum CS-Notfallkredit. Ohne die Rettungsaktion von Bundesrat, Nationalbank und Finma hätte eine systemrelevante Schweizer Bank in einer international sehr angespannten Situation vielleicht über Nacht eine globale Finanzmarktkrise ausgelöst. Der Schaden für die Schweizer Volkswirtschaft: nicht bezifferbar. Es gibt zum heutigen Zeitpunkt keine andere Lösung als diejenige, die gefunden wurde. Deshalb muss die Stabilisierung der Situation nun oberste Priorität haben. Ebenso braucht es eine saubere Aufarbeitung der Ereignisse. Für beides lag eine mögliche Lösung auf dem Tisch. Dennoch wollten SVP, SP und Grüne im Nationalrat nicht einmal auf einen Kompromissvorschlag eingehen, der ihren Forderungen weit entgegengekommen wäre. Dass die Parteien ihre Verantwortung in der Krise nicht wahrnehmen, ist für die Schweizer Wirtschaft nicht nachvollziehbar. Umso mehr, als die Schweiz in den nächsten Monaten weiterhin mit erheblichen wirtschaftlichen Unsicherheiten konfrontiert sein wird.

Eine Schweiz ohne starken Finanzplatz bedeutet weniger Wettbewerbsfähigkeit, keine starke Schweizer Währung und steigende Finanzierungskosten für alle. Die Wirtschaft fordert nicht, dass man einfach zur Tagesordnung übergeht. Nein sagen ist aber keine Lösung für die aktuellen Herausforderungen. Was passiert ist, gehört lückenlos aufgeklärt. Statt den Weg dafür freizumachen, haben die beiden Polparteien mit ihrer Blockadehaltung eine rasche Lösungsfindung und Stabilisierung verhindert.

economiesuisse wird sich in den nächsten Wochen mit Nachdruck für eine ausführliche Aufarbeitung als Grundlage für zielgerichtete Lösungen im Interesse des Wirtschaftsstandorts Schweiz einsetzen.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
