**HAW-Präsident Thomas Anwander begrüsste am 24. Mai 2018 72 Mitglieder und Gäste zur ordentlichen Generalversammlung. Im Jahresbericht nahm er Bezug auf die wirtschaftliche und politische Situation, global und lokal. Bei den statutarischen Geschäften sind die Vereinfachung der Statuten sowie Mutationen im Vorstand erwähnenswert.**

Der Präsident beginnt seinen Jahresbericht mit einem Rückblick auf die gute wirtschaftliche Situation im Jahr 2017, welche die Firmengewinne und resultierend auch die Steuereinnahmen auf allen Stufen begünstigten und zu Einnahmenüberschüssen bei Bund, Kantonen und auch der Stadt Winterthur führten und Spielraum für Steuersenkungen geschaffen hat. Weiter nimmt er Bezug auf die aktuellen geopolitischen Risiken und aufkommenden protektionistischen Massnahmen, welche zunehmend den Freihandel erschweren und damit global und auch in der Schweiz gegenseitiges Wachstum und Wohlstand gefährden.

Anwander verbirgt seine Enttäuschung mit Blick auf das Resultat der Stadt- und Gemeinderatswahlen in der Stadt Winterthur nicht. Es ist nicht gelungen, den Wählern zu vermitteln, weshalb eine bürgerliche Stadtpolitik eine Politik der Zukunft ist. Viele Bürgerinnen und Bürger sind der Ansicht, dass für alle Probleme der Staat bzw. die Stadt die rettende Lösung ist. Es konnte zu wenig aufgezeigt werden, dass eine gesunde Finanzpolitik eine wesentliche Voraussetzung für eine erfolgreiche und nachhaltige Stadtpolitik ist. Es gelang nicht, die Vision von Winterthur als Smart City und Technologiestadt gegenüber den Einwohnerinnen und Einwohner überzeugend zu kommunizieren.

Den Blick nach vorne richtend, akzeptieren wir natürlich den Wahlausgang. Wir werden uns aber gegen Entscheide wehren, welche das wirtschaftliche Fundament und die Leistungsfähigkeit von Winterthur gefährden. Ein verantwortungsvoller Umgang mit Geldern, ein wettbewerbsfähiger Steuerfuss und eine leistungsfähige Infrastruktur sind uns weiter wichtig. Aus Sicht der HAW sind die folgenden drei Themen ein besonderes Anliegen: Die Einführung der Schuldenbremse, die Sanierung der Pensionskasse, welche nicht auf dem Rücken der Steuerzahler stattfinden darf und die Parkplatzverordnung mit der Umsetzung des Grundsatzes "Parkplätze für Arbeitsplätze".

Die HAW wird auch künftig ihren Beitrag leisten, dass sich Winterthur weiterentwickelt, zu einer Smart City wird und weitere Arbeitsplätze angesiedelt werden können und somit auch die Steuer- und Finanzkraft steigt. Sie hat diverse Initiativen gestartet, um Startups zu fördern und befasst sich mit dem Thema Digitalisierung mit Schwerpunkt Industrie 4.0. Die enge Zusammenarbeit der HAW mit House of Winterthur und dem Technopark wird vertieft mit dem Ziel, gemeinsame Ressourcen zu poolen und so einen Mehrwert für den Standort Winterthur und die in Winterthur ansässigen Unternehmen zu schaffen.

Die statutarischen Themen der Generalversammlung wurden von den Mitgliedern alle einstimmig und zügig gutgeheissen. Zu erwähnen ist die Vereinfachung der Vereinsstatuten. Aus dem Vorstand verabschiedet wurden Markus Kalberer und Dr. Martin Wernli, welchen für ihren langjährigen Einsatz gedankt wurde. Neu in den Vorstand gewählt wurden Andreas Koller (Swica), Gregor Knoblauch (Raiffeisen), Daniel Kummer (ZKB) sowie Christoph Ladner (Sulzer). Leider konnte keine weitere Frau für ein Vorstandsamt gewonnen werden, wie es die Absicht war.

Im Anschluss an die Versammlung referierte Dr. Markus Gautschi von Givaudan über die Transformation des Standortes Kemptthal. Er spannte den Bogen von der "Besiedelung" des Areals (1830er Jahre) bis zur Übernahme 2012 durch Givaudan und legte ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die seitherige komplexe Projektentwicklung. Im neuen Innovationszentrum werden ab 2019 rund 290 hochwertige Givaudan-Arbeitsplätze beheimatet sein. Insgesamt sollen auf dem Areal rund 2000 Arbeitsplätze unterschiedlichster Branchen angesiedelt werden.

Beim anschliessenden Apéro Riche wurde der aktive Austausch unter den Anwesenden und Gästen gelebt. An dieser Stelle möchten wir der AXA herzlich für das Gastrecht und die Bewirtung danken.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
