**An der online durchgeführten Generalversammlung der HAW zeigte Greg Poux-Guillaume wie sich das Portfolio von Sulzer im Wandel der Zeit entwickelt hat. Seit Gründung 1834 war Sulzer ein Technologieinkubator. Der weltweit tätige Konzern steht noch heute exemplarisch für die Technologiestadt und trägt den Namen Winterthurs in die Welt hinaus. Das Unternehmen unterlag einem ständigen Wandel und ist heute der Digitalisierung und Nachhaltigkeit verpflichtet. Sulzer offeriert Produkte, Services und Know How in breiten Anwendungsbereichen und unterschiedlichsten Märkten.**

Thomas Anwander, Präsident der HAW stellt den CEO von Sulzer vor und beleuchtet kurz den mannigfaltigen Einfluss, welcher [Sulzer](https://www.sulzer.com) in Winterthur und der Schweizer Wirtschaftsgeschichte hatte. Gut gelaunt übernimmt Greg Poux-Guillaume das Wort, um die heutige Sulzer vorzustellen. Er stellt das Referat unter den Titel ‘Business portfolio evolution in the era of digital and sustainability’ und stellt fest, dass die Leute oft kaum wissen, in welchen Bereichen Sulzer mittlerweile engagiert ist. Faszinierend sei, wie Sulzer sich fast 200 Jahre immer wieder neu erfunden und als Pionier neue Bereiche entwickelt hat.

Sulzers Kerngeschäft sind Flow Control und Applikatoren. Das Unternehmen ist auf Pumpen, Services für rotierende Maschinen sowie auf Trenn-, Misch- und Applikationstechnologien spezialisiert. Das Produktportfolio wurde in den letzten 5 Jahren durch kleinere Akquisitionen, die einen unmittelbaren Nutzen stiften, arrondiert. Sulzer hat 15'000 Mitarbeiter. Die Kunden profitieren von einem Netzwerk mit mehr als 180 Produktions- und Servicestandorten in 100 Ländern auf der ganzen Welt. Der globale Hauptsitz ist wieder im Wintower. Hier findet auch ein wesentlicher Anteil der Innovation statt.

In der traditionellen Wahrnehmung ist Sulzer in der Schwerindustrie und dem Oel- und Gasgeschäft tätig. Das stimmt aber bei weitem nicht mehr. Sulzer hat ein AA-ESC-Nachhaltigkeitsrating und ist damit eines der besten Industrieunternehmen weltweit. Sulzer arbeitet nachhaltig, will den CO2-Fussabdruck minimieren und eine kohlenstoffarme Gesellschaft ermöglichen. Der Konzern engagiert sich seit jeher für die Mitarbeiter und die Gesellschaft. Mit diversen Anwendungen trägt Sulzer zur Kreislaufwirtschaft bei. Der grösste Teil des Pumpengeschäfts hat seine Anwendungen z.B. im Wasser- und Abwassergeschäft.

Sulzer’s fortschrittliche Analyseplattform für Flusskontrolle wurde international ausgezeichnet. Die digitalen Möglichkeiten unterstützen Geschäftstrends: Kunden wollen zusehends nicht für Produkte, sondern für die Verwendung bezahlen. Der Konzern sieht sich deshalb nicht als Herstellerin, sondern als Anbieterin von Expertise und Lösungen, damit Kunden Ihre Pläne besser und nachhaltiger verwirklichen können. Das Unternehmen ist auch ein sehr aktiver Marktteilnehmer in der additiven Fertigung. Ohne Maschinen und Technologien zu besitzen, sieht sich Sulzer als intelligentee Dienstleisterin bezüglich der verfügbaren Möglichkeiten.

Auch Sulzer Chemtech hat das Geschäftsmodell weiterentwickelt und verfügt über eine führende Technologie für biobasierte Kunststoffe. Polymilchsäure erlaubt als Alternative zu Oel die Herstellung von Plastik, der 100% biologisch abbaubar und rezyklierbar ist. So wird eine Kreislaufwirtschaft und nachhaltige Lösungen aktiv unterstützt. Sulzer hat mit Partnern auch eine Technologie, die Plastik in Treibstoff oder eine solche die Kohlenstoffemissionen in Biotreibstoffe umwandeln kann. Als Investor und strategischer Technologiepartner ermöglicht Sulzer auch Anwendungen für die textile Kreislaufwirtschaft.

Im Applikatoren-Bereich werden viele plastikbasierte Produkte hergestellt. Rezyklierbarer Bioplastik wird auch hier zunehmend wichtiger. Die Anwendungen werden stark im Markt für Schönheitsprodukte eingesetzt. Kunden fordern auch da Nachhaltigkeit. Lösungen aus dem Geschäftsbereich haben mit Verpackungen für Kleb- und Dichtstoffe einen prestigeträchtigen Nachhaltigkeits-Innovationspreis gewonnen.

Greg Poux-Guillaume schliesst seine Ausführungen damit, dass Sulzer von aussen oftmals nicht mit dem heutigen Geschäftsportfolio wahrgenommen wird. Deshalb will er künftig die innovativen Leistungen noch besser kommunizieren.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
