**eco­no­mie­su­is­se hat erst­mals um­welt­po­li­ti­sche Leit­li­ni­en ver­ab­schie­det. Der Schwei­zer Wirt­schafts­dach­ver­band will sich ver­stärkt für ef­fi­zi­en­te und ziel­ge­rich­te­te Mass­nah­men ein­set­zen, bei­spiels­wei­se in Bezug auf Res­sour­cen­ver­brauch. Beim Bei­trag der Wirt­schaft setzt er auf die In­no­va­ti­ons­kraft der Un­ter­neh­men, und er be­für­wor­tet eine in­ter­na­tio­na­le Ab­stim­mung bei der Ent­wick­lung von Um­welt­stan­dards.**

Um­welt­po­li­ti­sche The­men prä­gen den öf­fent­li­chen Dis­kurs der­zeit stark. Kli­ma­de­mons­tra­tio­nen und neue Volks­in­itia­ti­ven sor­gen für Schlag­zei­len, und nicht sel­ten rich­ten sich deren Bot­schaf­ten di­rekt an die Wirt­schaft. Für eco­no­mie­su­is­se ist denn auch un­be­strit­ten, dass den Un­ter­neh­men in der Schweiz eine wich­ti­ge Rolle zu­kommt im Kampf gegen den Kli­ma­wan­del oder beim scho­nen­den Um­gang mit Res­sour­cen. Um­welt­po­li­tik ist al­ler­dings kein kurz­fris­ti­ges Ge­schäft: Sie braucht, wenn sie nach­hal­tig er­folg­reich sein soll, eine lang­fris­ti­ge und um­fas­sen­de Per­spek­ti­ve. «Öko­lo­gi­sche Nach­hal­tig­keit kann nur funk­tio­nie­ren, wenn ent­spre­chen­de Mass­nah­men auch aus öko­no­mi­scher und so­zia­ler Sicht nach­hal­tig sind», er­läu­tert Kurt Lanz, Lei­ter In­fra­struk­tur, En­er­gie und Um­welt bei eco­no­mie­su­is­se.

Die heute pu­bli­zier­ten [«Leit­li­ni­en der Wirt­schaft für eine ziel­ge­rich­te­te Um­welt­po­li­tik»](https://www.haw.ch/hubfs/Blog%20Bilder%20und%20Dokumente/ECO_Umweltpolitik_DE_web.pdf) wur­den in einem län­ge­ren Pro­zess mit den Mit­glie­dern des Dach­ver­bands er­ar­bei­tet. Sie die­nen eco­no­mie­su­is­se künf­tig als Ori­en­tie­rungs­rah­men für alle um­welt­po­li­ti­schen Be­lan­ge. Die darin um­ris­se­ne Stra­te­gie setzt stark dar­auf, die Qua­li­tä­ten der Schwei­zer Wirt­schaft – bei­spiels­wei­se in­no­va­ti­ve Tech­no­lo­gi­en zur Ef­fi­zi­enz­stei­ge­rung – zu­guns­ten der Um­welt zu nut­zen. Um­ge­kehrt soll um­welt­be­wuss­tes Han­deln dazu füh­ren, die in­ter­na­tio­na­le Wett­be­werbs­fä­hig­keit hie­si­ger Un­ter­neh­men zu stär­ken. Staat­li­che Rah­men­be­din­gun­gen un­ter­stützt eco­no­mie­su­is­se, so­fern sie ge­eig­net und er­for­der­lich sind sowie den Un­ter­neh­men mög­lichst gros­sen Frei­raum für un­ter­neh­me­ri­sches Han­deln ga­ran­tie­ren. Ge­ra­de bei glo­ba­len Um­welt­pro­ble­men wie zum Bei­spiel Treib­haus­gas­emis­sio­nen ist man über­zeugt, dass die Eta­blie­rung in­ter­na­tio­na­ler Re­ge­lun­gen mög­lichst län­der­über­grei­fend vor­an­ge­trie­ben wer­den soll.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
