**Die Schweiz gehört zu den ersten Ländern, die über eine Strategie zur Förderung der Kohärenz zwischen wirtschaftlichen Aktivitäten und Menschenrechten verfügen. Die Strategie enthält fünfzig Instrumente zur Förderung der Einhaltung der Menschenrechte durch Schweizer Unternehmen, die im In- und Ausland tätig sind.**

Der Bundesrat hat Ende 2016 einen Bericht mit einem nationalen Aktionsplan (NAP) für die Umsetzung der Leitprinzipien der Vereinten Nationen für Wirtschaft und Menschenrechte verabschiedet. Der NAP zeigt mit 50 politischen Instrumenten, wie die Schweiz die Leitprinzipien der Vereinten Nationen umsetzt und erlaubt es dem Bundesrat, die Privatwirtschaft für die Problematik zu sensibilisieren und die Zusammenarbeit mit den Unternehmen zu stärken. **Der NAP schafft dabei keinerlei neue rechtlich bindende Instrumente.**

Für die Umsetzung des NAP wurde eine Begleitgruppe  aus verschiedenen Bereichen eingesetzt und eine Umfrage u.a. unter den Mitgliedern des Schweizerischen Arbeitgeberverbandes durchgeführt. Ziel dabei ist es einzuschätzen, inwieweit die Unternehmen den NAP und die Leitprinzipien der Vereinten Nationen für Wirtschaft und Menschenrechte kennen und wie diese Massnahmen bewerten, welche die Unternehmen im Rahmen ihrer Geschäftstätigkeit und ihrer Handelsbeziehungen im Hinblick auf die Menschenrechte treffen. Der Bericht des Bundesrates wird Ende 2018 erwartet.

Im Rahmen der Umsetzung des Nationalen Aktionsplans Wirtschaft und Menschenrechte lancieren das SECO und das EDA erstmals eine gemeinsame [Webseite](https://www.nap-bhr.admin.ch/napbhr/de/home.html) zum Thema «Wirtschaft und Menschenrechte».

 

Die Webseite liefert eine Übersicht der staatlichen Aktivitäten im Bereich Wirtschaft und Menschenrechte und informiert über Projekte und Instrumente. Die Webseite führt insbesondere spezifische Informationen für Unternehmen auf und sensibilisiert sie anhand konkreter Praxisbeispiele für die menschenrechtliche Sorgfaltsprüfung.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
