Im Rahmen der Wirtschafts- und Wissenschaftsmission in die USA hat Bundespräsident Guy Parmelin dem US-Handelsbeauftragten Jamieson Greer eine Erklärung überreicht. Darin [bekräftigt der Bundesrat](https://www.admin.ch/de/newnsb/TrdFttBUBc7BqCCHvYmPa), weitere Elemente des im letzten November mit den US-Behörden abgeschlossenen Joint Statements umzusetzen. Konkret geht es um die vereinfachte Anerkennung von US-Normen in den Bereichen Konformitätsbewertungsstellen, Medizinprodukte und Personenwagen sowie um das öffentliche Beschaffungswesen. Im Gegenzug erwartet der Bundesrat die Einhaltung der seitens USA im Joint Statement festgehaltenen Punkte.

Ein weiterer Schritt, aber es braucht konkrete Ergebnisse und Rechtssicherheit  
Aus Sicht von economiesuisse ist die Erklärung des Bundesrats ein weiterer Schritt zur Stabilisierung der bilateralen Beziehungen Schweiz-USA. Zentral bleibt aber, dass die Gespräche mit der US-Administration nun zügig weitergeführt werden. Ziel muss sein, bestehende Handelshemmnisse abzubauen und die Rahmenbedingungen für Schweizer Unternehmen nachhaltig zu verbessern. Für die Schweizer Exportwirtschaft bleibt entscheidend, dass das Joint Statement eingehalten wird und eine maximale Zollhöhe von 15 Prozent erreicht werden kann. Positiv zu werten ist, dass die Verhandlungen über ein verbindliches Handelsabkommen weitergeführt werden.

Section 301 – Untersuchungen bleiben ein Unsicherheitsfaktor  
Für die Schweizer Exportwirtschaft bleiben weiterhin substantielle Unsicherheiten bestehen. Diese ergeben sich insbesondere aus den laufenden Untersuchungen der US-Administration unter Section 301. Im Raum stehen Vorwürfe zu [ungenügenden Massnahmen im Zusammenhang mit Importen aus Zwangsarbeit](https://www.economiesuisse.ch/de/artikel/neue-us-zoelle-von-125-prozent-angekuendigt-wirtschaft-weist-vorwuerfe-zu-zwangsarbeit) sowie zu industriellen Überkapazitäten. Diese Verfahren laufen bis am 23. Juli und bergen das Risiko zusätzlicher handelspolitischer Massnahmen.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
