- **​Als Exportnation muss die Schweiz auf eine breite Palette von Handelspartnern setzen: mit Freihandelsabkommen weltweit und guten bilateralen Beziehungen zur EU. ​ ​**
- **Um Unternehmen und ihre Arbeitnehmenden zu unterstützen, braucht es jetzt innenpolitische Massnahmen zur Stärkung der Standortattraktivität. ​**

Die angekündigten US-Zölle treffen die Schweizer Exportwirtschaft hart. Sie schaffen erhebliche Unsicherheit und verschlechtern die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Schweizer Unternehmen.

​economiesuisse begrüsst das [Vorgehen des Bundesrats](https://www.admin.ch/gov/de/start/dokumentation/medienmitteilungen.msg-id-104745.html). Es ist richtig, dass der Bundesrat auf Gegenmassnahmen verzichtet und auf eine Verhandlungslösung mit den USA setzt. Klar ist: Weitere handelspolitische Spannungen sind nicht im Interesse der Schweiz. Zudem wären Gegenmassnahmen der Schweiz mit Kosten für die Schweizer Volkswirtschaft verbunden. 

​Aus Sicht der Wirtschaft braucht es jetzt ein besonnenes und geschlossenes Handeln der Schweiz. Um Unternehmen und ihre Arbeitnehmenden zu unterstützen, muss ein ganzes Bündel an Massnahmen im Vordergrund stehen: ​

- **Handelsbeziehungen zu den USA: **Der Bundesrat ist gefordert, die Situation mit der US-Regierung rasch und proaktiv zu klären. Die ungerechtfertigten US-Zölle sollen verhindert, oder mindestens abgeschwächt werden. Die USA sind unser wichtigster Exportmarkt. Die bilateralen Wirtschaftsbeziehungen sollen geschützt werden. ​
- **Weltweit offene Märkte:** Es gilt, die Strategie der Diversifizierung unserer Handelsbeziehungen voranzutreiben. Das vom Parlament genehmigte Freihandelsabkommens mit Indien sollte nun rasch ratifiziert werden. Zudem sollen laufende Freihandelsverhandlungen mit dem Mercosur und asiatischen Staaten zeitnah abgeschlossen und das Freihandelsabkommen mit China modernisiert werden. Auch mit der EU gilt es weiterhin gute und stabile Handelsbeziehungen zu pflegen. ​
- **Wettbewerbsfähigkeit des Standorts Schweiz:** Es ist alles daran zu setzen, die Standortattraktivität der Schweiz zu stärken. Von unnötigen Regulierungen und zusätzlichen finanziellen Belastungen für die Unternehmen muss dringend abgesehen werden. Es braucht deshalb eine kritische Überprüfung bei Vorlagen, welche die Schweizer Unternehmen potenziell zusätzlich belasten könnten. Zudem sollen Massnahmen zur Entlastung der Unternehmen in Angriff genommen werden. ​
- **Stabilität:** Der Wirtschaftsstandort zeichnet sich durch die hohe Rechtssicherheit und Stabilität aus. Dem müssen wir Sorge tragen. ​

economiesuisse wird die Auswirkungen der US-Zölle auf Schweizer Exporte mit ihren Mitgliedern vertieft analysieren.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
