economiesuisse begrüsst, dass sich der Bundesrat bis Ende Jahr auf die Verabschiedung eines Verhandlungsmandats vorbereiten will. Wichtig ist nun, dass die noch offenen Punkte rasch geklärt werden. Für die Wirtschaft sind geregelte Beziehungen und Rechtssicherheit im Verhältnis mit der EU von essenzieller Bedeutung.

Der Bundesrat hat die Eckwerte für ein Verhandlungsmandat mit der EU verabschiedet. Diese bilden die Grundlage für die Fortsetzung der Gespräche mit der EU. Dabei hat der Bundesrat einen breiten Paketansatz gewählt: Es soll ein ganzes Paket aus Binnenmarkt- und Kooperationsabkommen verhandelt werden. Mit der Verabschiedung der Eckwerte für die Vertiefung der Gespräche mit der EU über ein neues Verhandlungspaket hat der Bundesrat einen wichtigen Schritt in Richtung einer späteren Aufnahme der Verhandlungen getan.

economiesuisse begrüsst den Paketansatz des Bundesrates. Dieser erlaubt, auch Lösungen bei den heute blockierten Dossiers wie etwa dem EU-Forschungsprogramm Horizon Europe und dem Erasmus-Programm zu finden. Mit Genugtuung nimmt economiesuisse zur Kenntnis, dass sich bei verschiedenen für die Schweiz wichtigen Dossiers, namentlich bei den staatlichen Beihilfen, der Unionsbürgerrichtlinie und den Flankierenden Massnahmen, Lösungen abzeichnen. Für die Schweizer Wirtschaft ist zudem wichtig, dass die noch offenen Punkte namentlich bei den Abkommen in den Bereichen Strom und Gesundheit so rasch wie möglich geklärt werden.

Der Bundesrat ist nun gefordert, die Sondierungen mit der EU noch in diesem Jahr abzuschliessen und bis Ende Jahr ein entsprechendes Verhandlungsmandat zu verabschieden. Aufgrund der ausführlichen Sondierungsgespräche wäre zu erwarten, dass die anschliessenden Verhandlungen zügig vorangehen können.

Klar ist: Die Zeit drängt. Ohne ein geregeltes Verhältnis mit dem wichtigsten Handelspartner der Schweiz und ohne Rechtssicherheit droht eine weitere Erosion des bilateralen Wegs zum Nachteil der Schweizer Unternehmen und mit schwerwiegenden Folgen für den Wirtschaftsstandort Schweiz.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
