Save the date! Vom 1. bis 3. November 2020 finden die schweizweiten Digitaltage statt. Erstmalig ist auch Winterthur dabei. Unter dem Patronat von [Digital Winterthur](http://www.digital-winterthur.ch) werden verschiedene Veranstaltungen in der Bahnhofshalle und der Lokstadt organisiert. Die Vision: Winterthur als digitale und nachhaltige Zukunftsstadt positionieren. Möchten Sie sich mit Ihrem Unternehmen aktiv einbringen? Let’s go digital!

Der amerikanische Futurist Ray Kurzweil schrieb, dass die meisten Menschen die Fähigkeiten neuer Technologien dramatisch unterschätzen. Menschen sehen die Welt, wie sie heute ist und denken sie linear weiter. Aber in den nächsten zehn Jahren verändert sich unser Dasein stärker, als in den vergangenen 100 Jahren. Die entscheidende Frage ist: Wie reagieren wir darauf? Der digitale Wandel kommt nicht einfach - er wird von uns gestaltet! Die Frage ist nicht: Wie werden wir leben? Sondern: Wie wollen wir leben? Die bevorstehenden Digitaltage widmen sich der Frage nach der gewünschten digitalen Zukunft der Bevölkerung. Diese Zukunftsfrage zu thematisieren, bedeutet gleichzeitig sicherzustellen, dass alle an der digitalen Welt von morgen teilhaben und davon profitieren können. Denn der digitale Wandel baut auf eine informierte Gesellschaft. Wir sollten die Digitalisierung gemeinsam so vorantreiben, dass wir die Chancen optimal nutzen und die Risiken minimieren. Dann wird die Digitalisierung allen Generationen viele Vorteile bringen.».

#### Digitale Zukunftsfähigkeit von Winterthur

Die Digitalisierung hat unsere Welt bereits fest im Griff und dass sie vieles Gutes mit sich brachte, wird niemand bestreiten. Zur Wahrheit gehört aber auch, dass sie unser Arbeitsleben in weit grösserem Masse beeinflussen wird, als wir uns heute trauen zuzugeben. Deshalb erscheint es sinnvoll, einige Überlegungen zur langfristigen Umsetzungsstrategie zu machen. [Fabian Danko](https://www.linkedin.com/in/fabianstefanodanko/), Vorstandsmitglied Digital Winterthur: «Mir ist es wichtig, dass die Digitalisierung nicht jenseits der Energiediskussion geführt wird, sondern dass wir beide Perspektiven miteinander verknüpfen und so einen nachhaltigen Digitalen Wandel herbeiführen können. Doch dafür müssen wir jetzt die Weichen stellen und den Wandel aktiv gestalten.»

Die besten Textilmaschinen, Messsysteme, Pumpen, Kompressoren oder Versicherungsdienstleistungen werden auch in Zukunft das Rückgrat von Winterthur sein. Die letzten Monate haben aber auch gezeigt, wie anfällig unsere globalisierten Wertschöpfungsketten sind. Dank neuen Technologien kann sich die heimische Produktion wieder lohnen. Wir haben die Möglichkeit, die Schweiz wieder zu industrialisieren und damit Arbeitsplätze zu schaffen. Dafür müssen aber (endlich) auch konkrete und tragfähige Lösungsvorschläge für brisante Fragestellungen erarbeitet werden: Wie schützen wir den stationären Handel, damit unsere Altstadt nicht weiter entvölkert wird? Geht in den Fabrikhallen bald das Licht aus (Stichwort: «dark factory»)? Wer hilft bei der Vernetzung von physischen und virtuellen Gegenständen (IoT)? Was passiert mit geringqualifizierter Arbeit? Wo sind die ethischen und moralischen Grenzen im Bereich E-Health? Braucht es staatlich angeordnete Kurse zum Thema künstliche Intelligenz an den Primar- und Sekundarschulen? Der Digitaltag Winterthur soll zur Diskussion und zum Austausch anregen. Es soll ein möglichst vielfältiger Meinungsaustausch gefördert werden. Gleichzeitig besteht die Möglichkeit, sich mit führenden Vertretern der digitalen Welt und Experten zu vernetzten und dabei die neusten Entwicklungen in den Bereichen Smart City & E-Government, Digital Health, Bildung, Energie und Industrie 4.0 zu entdecken.

Michail Gorbatschow hat ein Satz geprägt, der im Kommunismus ebenso seine Gültigkeit hatte, wie heute im Zeitalter der Digitalisierung: «Wer zu spät kommt, den bestraft das Leben». Wir wollen, dass Winterthur eben gerade nicht zu spät kommt!

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
