Central tasks of the office are the advice on export issues and the issuing of documents for the export and re-import of goods for members and non-members in the district of Winterthur.
In addition, we strive for active and benefit-oriented communication by providing specialist information. Vessels for this are the website, the regularly appearing newsletter HAW Aktuell, the monthly export news and legal information.
Furthermore, the office organizes, with some partners, specific events. We also count on cultivating and opening up networks for our members.

The Managing Director represents HAW at meetings and conferences of the Directors of the Swiss Chambers of Commerce, the Swiss Employers' Association and economiesuisse.
The Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Association Winterthur (HAW) emerged in 1992 from the merger of the Kaufmännische Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur and the employers' association Winterthur. Their roots go back to the year 1801. HAW influenced the economic development of the city of Winterthur since centuries and still makes its contribution for Winterthur as a business location with well-developed infrastructure.
