In wenigen Wochen stehen die Zürcher Kantonsratswahlen an. Am 12. Februar 2023 wir das kantonale Parlament und die Regierung neu gewählt, doch welche Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten setzen sich für das Wohl der Stadt und Region Winterthur ein? Die HAW hat im Vorfeld der Wahlen eine Befragung durchgeführt und gibt aufgrund der Resultate nachfolgende Wahlempfehlungen ab.

Für Winterthur stehen bei den anstehenden Kantonsratswahlen 20 der insgesamt 180 Sitze zur Wahl. 13 dieser Sitze gehen an den Wahlkreis **Winterthur Stadt** und 7 an den Wahlkreis **Winterthur Land**. Durch die Veröffentlichung einer Wahlempfehlung möchte die HAW ihren Mitgliedern und der Öffentlichkeit einen Hinweise darauf geben, welche Kandidaten mit ihren Prioritäten und Werten übereinstimmen.

Die Empfehlung basiert auf einem Fragebogen, der von 35 Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten retourniert wurde. Darin abgedeckt waren lokale Themen wie die Erschliessung von Neuhegi und Tempo 30 auf den Hauptverkehrsachsen in der Stadt, primär aber kantonsweite Anliegen wie die Finanzierung von Innovationsprojekten, die steuerliche Belastung von Unternehmen oder der Umgang mit den Folgen der hohen Energiepreise.

Nach der Auswertung der Fragebogen lässt sich festhalten, dass sich alle von der HAW unterstützten KandidatInnen für einen attraktiven Wirtschaftsstandort Zürich einsetzen. Genauso wichtig wie der verantwortliche Umgang mit den finanziellen und umwelttechnischen Ressourcen ist ihnen, dass der Dialog mit der EU vorangetrieben wird. Dies ist bedeutend, da viele exportorientierte Mitglieder der HAW auf stabile Rahmenbedingungen, Freihandelsverträge und besonders auf die Personenfreizügigkeit mit der EU angewiesen sind.

Der Kanton Zürich braucht Politikerinnen und Politiker, die ermöglichen und nicht verhindern, die mutig sind und unbequeme Debatten nicht scheuen und verantwortungsvolle Lösungen anstreben. Die HAW hat pro Partei und Wahlkreis bewusst nur eine limitierte Anzahl KandidatInnen für die Wahl empfohlen. Es gibt natürlich weitere Personen auf den Listen der Parteien, die nicht auf der Wahlempfehlung stehen, aber dennoch dieselben Werte und Überzeugungen vertreten wie die Empfohlenen.

In diesem Sinne hoffen wir auf ein möglichst gutes Abschneiden dieser KandidatInnen am 12. Februar und empfehlen Ihnen diese zur Wahl.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
