**Wir begrüssen die [swisspeers](https://www.swisspeers.ch) als neues Startup-Mitglied der HAW. Das Winterthurer Fintech-Unternehmen hat einen Online-Marktplatz für Kreditfinanzierungen etabliert und konnte bereits eine stattliche Anzahl Finanzierungen vermitteln. Technologieführerschaft ist den Gründern des Unternehmens wichtig. So bewirtschaftet swisspeers als einer der ersten Finanzintermediäre überhaupt Kredite zwischen Unternehmen und Investoren als «Smart Contracts» in der [Ethereum-Blockchain](https://info.swisspeers.ch/blockchain) und bildet Gläubigeransprüche mittels Tokens ab. Die Online Finanzierungsplattform wird entlang der Kundenbedürfnisse laufend weiter entwickelt.**

Unternehmen benötigen für ihre Entwicklung finanzielle Mittel. Investoren suchen nach sinnvollen Anlagemöglichkeiten für ihr Geld. Auf dem swisspeers Online-Marktplatz treffen Unternehmen mit Finanzierungsbedarf auf Investoren mit Anlagebedarf. Bequem, einfach, transparent und fair für beide Seiten.

Eine Direct Lending, oder [Crowdlending-Finanzierung](https://www.swisspeers.ch/) etabliert sich für KMU zusehends als Alternative zu traditionellen Finanzierungsformen. Dabei bringen einige Dutzend Investoren– zumeist Privatanleger oder investierende Unternehmer - den vom Unternehmen gewünschten Kreditbetrag gemeinsam auf. Die Koordination erfolgt über die Internetplattform, welche nach einer Bonitätsprüfung die Kreditgesuche der Unternehmen publiziert und die Geldangebote der Anleger entgegennimmt. So hat swisspeers seit dem Marktstart Mitte 2016 zwischen Unternehmen und Anlegern rund 160 Kredite im Umfang von über CHF 24 Mio. vermittelt.

**FINTECH für KMU – aus Winterthur**

Fintech Startups, also Jungfirmen, die moderne Technologien anwenden, um Herausforderungen in der Finanzindustrie zu adressieren, siedeln sich typischerweise in Zürich oder in Zug an. Nicht so swisspeers. Von der Zürcherstrasse 12 aus werden Finanzierungen für Schweizer KMU orchestriert über eine der modernsten Kreditplattformen der Schweiz. Bereits einige Winterthurer Unternehmen haben sich so finanziert. Gleichzeitig stellen eine stattliche Zahl von Investoren aus der Region Winterthur über die Plattform finanzielle Mittel für Unternehmen zur Verfügung und verdienen dabei einen Zins.

Eine der ersten Finanzierungen überhaupt hat sich die [Varias Immobilien](https://www.varias.ch/) aus Winterthur Töss beschafft für eines ihrer Projekte. Über 24 Monate hat sie das Darlehen mit Zins an die 12 finanzierenden Investoren zurückbezahlt. Damit haben es Varias Immobilien und swisspeers 2016 sogar in die Nachrichtensendung ‘10 vor 10’ geschafft. Ein weiterer Meilenstein war die Finanzierung von [init7](https://www.init7.net/de/), einem unabhängigen alternativen Anbieter von schnellem Internet aus Winterthur. Den teuren Ausbau von Glasfasernetzanschlüssen (Pop’s) haben über 50 Investoren mit Beträgen ab 3'000 Franken finanziert.

Auch für die Industrie ist Direct Lending eine spannende Alternative. Die [Metallgiesserei Christenguss](https://blog.swisspeers.ch/christenguss-investition-in-die-innovativste-schweizer-alugiesserei) aus Bergdietikon/AG hat mit einem Crowdlending-Kredit über 500‘000 Franken ihre Liquiditätslage verbessert. Das rund 100 Jahre alte Unternehmen stellt Aluminium- und Kupfergussteile her und nutzt heute modernste Verfahren wie 3D-Druck zur Herstellung von Gussformen für Industrie und Architektur. Das führte zu einem rasanten Wachstum des Unternehmens, wie Geschäftsleiter Florian Christen berichtet. Der Crowdlending-Kredit soll die nächsten Wachstumsschritte finanzieren und die Lieferanten entlasten.

**Swisspeers – ein Technologieunternehmen**

Swisspeers entwickelt die Online Direct Lending Plattform vollständig selbst und ist damit Herr über die eigene Plattform. Nur wenige Services im Bereich Design und Security werden extern bezogen. Weiterentwicklungen und Anpassungen werden so mit hoher Geschwindigkeit vorwärtsgetrieben. Fast wöchentlich werden neue Funktionen implementiert, um Kunden ein möglichst einfaches Handling zu ermöglichen, sei es dem kreditsuchenden KMU oder dem Investor. Wieso swisspeers das kann? Die Gründer Andreas Hug, Alwin Meyer und Stefan Nägeli haben mehr als 15 Jahre lang Risikomanagement Software für Banken entwickelt, verkauft, implementiert und betrieben.

Die Firma hiess damals SunGard und betrieb ihr weltweites Geschäft von der Theaterstrasse 17 aus. Heute ist das swisspeers Team bereits 9 Personen stark mit Kreditspezialisten, Entwicklern und Studenten. 

**Der erste KMU Kredit auf der Ethereum Blockchain**

Technologieführerschaft ist ein wichtiges Argument für das Unternehmen. So bewirtschaftet swisspeers als einer der ersten Finanzintermediäre überhaupt Kredite zwischen Unternehmen und Investoren als «Smart Contracts» in der [Ethereum-Blockchain](https://info.swisspeers.ch/blockchain) und bildet Gläubigeransprüche mittels Tokens ab. Transaktionen rund um KMU-Kredite werden damit einfacher, schneller und sicherer. Gleichzeitig bleibt die vertragliche und finanzielle Basis in der Beziehung zwischen Kreditgeber und Kreditnehmer unverändert.

**Kreditauszahlung auch in Euro**

Die Swisspeers Kredite können auch in Euro ausbezahlt werden. Zusammen mit dem Fintech Unternehmen ‘[Amnis Treasury Services](https://blog.swisspeers.ch/2017/03/31/swisspeers-und-amnis-lancieren-euro-kredite)’ hat swisspeers die Lösung entwickelt. Sie ermöglicht KMU, den Kreditbetrag zum Tageskurs in Euro auszahlen zu lassen. Das ist für Unternehmen spannend, die den Einkauf von Vorleistungen im Euroraum tätigen, deren Kosten aber in Schweizer Franken anfallen. Ein weiterer Ausbauschritt wird die umgekehrte Richtung sein – Auszahlung in Schweizer Franken und Rückzahlung in Euro.

So wird sich die Online Finanzierungsplattform entlang den Kundenbedürfnissen weiter entwickeln. Dies mit dem Mission Schweizer KMU Kapitalzugang zur Finanzierung ihrer Innovationsprojekte zu verschaffen und damit den Erhalt und die Schaffung von Arbeitsplätzen am Wirtschaftsstandort Schweiz zu unterstützen.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
