**Der Digital Hub Winterthur hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Digitalisierung in der Region Winterthur mit konkreten Projekten voranzutreiben. In regelmässig stattfindenden Veranstaltungen soll der Austausch zwischen Startups, etablierten Unternehmen und auch der ZHAW gestärkt werden. Am 23.5.19 lancierten 4 Kurzreferate lokaler Exponenten zu Fragen der Prozessoptimierung und –automatisierung im Technopark Winterthur einen angeregten Dialog.**

Bert Hofmänner, [Hofmänner New Media](https://www.hnm.ch), eröffnet den Reigen der Inputreferate und spricht zu Prozessoptimierung und Digitalisierung. IT-Experten verwenden oft komplizierte Begriffe, welche KMU abschrecken. Er überrascht mit der Aussage, dass die Themen gar nicht so kompliziert sind. Allerdings müssen Unternehmen ihre eigenen Prozesse kennen, um sich der Digitalisierungsproblematik anzunehmen. Der Respekt oder die Furcht am Thema und der möglichen Kostenfolgen müsse überwunden werden. Ist der Prozess einmal definiert, gelte es zu unterscheiden zwischen Standard- und Individualprozessen. Ersteres erfordert Lösungen mit Standardsoftware, Letzeres bedingt individuelle Lösungen. Bezüglich Beurteilung der Kosten empfiehlt er eine pragmatische Plausibilisierung: Zeit x Kosten x erwartete Lebensdauer. Hofmänner fasst seine Ausführungen in 4 Schritten zusammen: Prozess identifizieren, Prozesstyp festlegen, Budget ableiten, Umsetzen. 

Dr. Thomas Herrmann, ZHAW Institut für Datenanalyse und Prozessdesign, spricht zu ‚Produktionsplanung der Zukunft – datengetrieben, schnell, flexibel’.  Zentral für die Fragestellung sind die Fortschritte in der Mikroelektronik. Softwarekomponenten werden direkt in Maschinen, Sensoren, Endprodukten etc. untergebracht. Auch sind Datenbanken heute performant und anwenderfreundlich geworden. Unternehmerisch stellt sich die Frage, was mit diesen Daten gemacht werden soll und wie das Geschäft weiterentwickelt werden kann. Wenn Prozesse im Griff und die Fragen der Zielsetzung beantwortet sind, kann ein Unternehmen (schnell) agieren und nicht nur reagieren. Herrmann vertritt die Ansicht, das sich ein Unternehmen dem Kunden anpassen muss und dass eine auf Kapazität und Auslastung getrimmte Produktion für die Zukunft nicht mehr geeignet sei. Flexibilität ist eine neue Kompetenz. Dies hat auch Auswirkungen auf flexible Arbeitszeitmodelle und Cross-Training der Mitarbeiter. Daniel Schwarz, [LIBAL Schweiz Gmbh](http://www.libal-tech.ch/de), spricht zum ressourcensparenden Informationsmanagement im Fabrikbau. Die im Technopark Winterthur domizilierte Firma betreibt eine Informationsplattform für Gebäude, Fabriken und Anlagen. Schwarz beginnt seine Ausführungen mit einem Alltagsbeispiel: Ohne Serviceheft verliert ein Auto an Wert. Dieses Beispiel wendet er auf eine Fabrik an, für welche über 1000 ‚Servicehefte’ existieren. Hier hilft die Digitalisierung: Mit Smart Data Sheets erstellt die Firma einen digitalen Zwilling. Diese Informationen braucht es für die Steuerung von Prozessdaten. Für die Fabrik müssen die Anforderungen an Daten und Dokumente bestimmt, die Informationen bereitgestellt, die Daten geprüft und Korrekturen nachverfolgt werden. Das Ganze ist als iterativer Prozess strukturiert umzusetzen.

Den Abschluss macht Helmut Sproll, [CROSS-WORKS AG](https://cross-works.net/) ebenfalls im Technopark Winterthur domiziliert, zum Thema ‚Cloud DMS für KMU’. Er versteht Digitalisierung als Pflicht und Transformation als Kür. Bei der Digitalisierung geht es um Prozesse. Eingebettet zwischen Innovation und Technologie sollen diese zu Produktivitätssteigerungen führen. Die betriebliche Realität ist in vielen KMU noch papierlastig und analog. Auch sind begrenzte IT-Ressourcen vorhanden. An der Digitalisierung kommt allerdings kein Unternehmen vorbei. Sproll schildert einen manuellen und papiergetriebenen Arbeitsprozess und zeigt die Möglichkeiten eines Dokumentenmanagements. Das sei im Prinzip einfach. Das ultimative Ziel ist, Transparenz zu schaffen und Inhalte schnell und überall und für alle Berechtigten zugreifbar zu machen. Ein Dokumentenmanagementsystem schafft die Basis für die Optimierung und Automatisierung von Prozessen. Ohne Definition der Prozesse funktioniert aber nichts. In der Regel haben KMU Respekt vor der Einführung solcher Lösungen. CROSS-WORKS stellt mit der Swiss Content Cloud eine übersichtliche Benutzeroberfläche zur Verfügung und baut Lösungen für smartes Zusammenarbeiten und Dokumentenmanagement. Unternehmen können so auf dem Weg zur Digitalisierung einen grossen Schritt vorwärts machen.

Im Anschluss an die Referate wurde die Thematik bei Kaffee und Gipfeli weiter diskutiert. Das Format der Veranstaltung hat sich als sehr effizient erwiesen. Weitere Veranstaltungen werden folgen.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
