**Der Bundesrat stärkt Schweizer Unternehmen in herausfordernden Zeiten: Verlängerung der Kurzarbeitsentschädigung auf 18 Monate ab August 2025 soll Exportsektor entlasten und wertvolle Planungssicherheit schaffen**

Gute Nachrichten für Schweizer Unternehmen in herausfordernden Zeiten: Der Bundesrat hat eine wichtige Massnahme zur Stärkung der Wirtschaft beschlossen. Die Höchstbezugsdauer für Kurzarbeitsentschädigung wird von den bisherigen zwölf auf **achtzehn Monate verlängert**.

Diese Entscheidung kommt nicht unerwartet, da die wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen weiterhin angespannt sind. Die Änderung tritt am **1. August 2025 in Kraft und ist bis zum 31. Juli 2026** gültig.

**Warum diese Verlängerung?  
**Die anhaltenden geopolitischen Unsicherheiten und die Stärke des Schweizer Frankens setzen insbesondere dem Exportsektor stark zu. Viele Unternehmen kämpfen mit den Auswirkungen dieser Faktoren. Die Verlängerung der Kurzarbeitsentschädigung soll genau hier ansetzen: Sie bietet betroffenen Firmen dringend benötigte **Planungssicherheit** und mehr Flexibilität, um sich an die schwierige konjunkturelle Lage anzupassen und Arbeitsplätze zu sichern.

#### Über uns

Die Handelskammer und Arbeitgebervereinigung Winterthur HAW ist 1992 aus der Fusion der Kaufmännischen Gesellschaft Handelskammer Winterthur und dem Arbeitgeberverband Winterthur entstanden. Ihre Wurzeln gehen bis ins Jahr 1801 zurück. Die HAW prägte die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Stadt Winterthur und trägt bis heute dazu bei, dass Winterthur ein Wirtschaftsstandort mit gut ausgebauter Infrastruktur ist.
